Week of October 25: let new visitors message you instead of booking

Your website can now offer a Send a Message button, so new visitors can write to you, with your prescreener questions, before you offer them a time.

Improved

  • A Send a Message button on your website. The Contact card under Settings → Website has a new switch, Show Send a Message button, next to the Client Portal and Request Appointment switches. It opens your contact form, including any prescreener questions you've put on it, and the message lands in Inquiries. Turn off Request Appointment and it becomes the main button, for practices that would rather hear from new people before offering a time. Image banners have the same switch. Sites you've already published keep their current buttons until you turn it on and publish. Taking messages instead of bookings.
  • No dead end when you're not taking new clients online. With Accept Requests from New Clients off, your booking page used to say only that you weren't accepting requests. It now offers a Send a Message button to your contact form, plus a sign-in link for current clients. The switch in Settings → Online Booking and in the calendar's appointment request settings now says so when it's off. Online booking.
  • Full event titles on the week and day calendar. A long title on a lunch, meeting or other non-client event now wraps onto more lines inside its box on the calendar, instead of being cut off with "...", so you can read it at a glance. A short event still shows as much as fits in its box.
